A draft law which would increase the tax burden for higher incomes has not been approved by the State Duma. It was proposed that two additional rates be introduced: income exceeding 60 million Roubles would be taxed at a rate of 40%, and the income exceeding 100 million Roubles would be taxed at 50%.
