Templars advised and recently, obtained an arbitral award on behalf of the Heineken subsidiary, Nigeria Breweries Plc (NB) - Nigeria's largest beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) brewer - in a multi-million Naira dispute initiated by Gaslink Nigeria Ltd in respect of disputes arising from the take-or-pay provisions of a Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement executed by the parties.

This is a pioneer arbitration in the Nigerian gas industry on take-or-pay clause.

Commenting on the arbitral award, Adewale Atake Templars partner and head of the dispute resolution group said: "the arbitral award in favour of our client is excellent news; it is unique in the sense that this is the first arbitration in Nigeria dealing with take-or-pay provisions under GSPAs and Templars is delighted to be part of this ground breaking award"
