The Central Bank of Turkey ("CBRT"), amended the Communiqué No. 2020/4 on the Procedures and Principles Regarding Fees that Banks Can Charge Corporate Clients (the "Communiqué").

The Turkish Capital Markets Board is the financial, regulatory and supervisory agency where the Turkish Finance Ministry appoints its board.

The amendments entered into force with their publication in the Official Gazette dated November 11, 2018 and with No. 30592.

The "Law Amending the Banks Law and Some Other Laws", no. 5020, adopted and enacted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 12 December 2003 and published in the Official Gazette on 26.12.2003, mainly contains new provisions for facilitating the collection of receivables from customers and owners of the banks which have become insolvent and have been transferred to the Saving Deposits Insurance Fund or of which banking license has been withdrawn.

The "Law Amending Some Laws", no. 5035, has been published in the Official Gazette on January 2, 2004. The Law no. 5035 contains amendments in two important laws, which may positively affect the credit mechanism of banks. They are briefly reported herein.
